CLIMATE

Amsterdam has a maritime climate. In September, the average day temperature is around 18º centigrade (65º F). Average rainfall is 75 mm per month with rainfall on about 10 days.

CREDIT CARDS

Credit and debit cards like Maestro, Visa, MasterCard or American Express are widely accepted.

CURRENCY

The Dutch currency is the Euro (€). The majority of stores accept international credit and payment cards. There is also a wide network of ATMs where you can withdraw cash.

ELECTRICITY

In the Netherlands the power plugs and sockets are of type C and F. The standard voltage is 220 V and the standard frequency is 50 Hz.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Amsterdam has excellent public transport facilities (buses, metro, trams) connecting RAI convention centre to all parts of the city. Participants will receive a free 3-day pass for public transport.

LANGUAGE

In the Netherlands the official language is Dutch, which has similarities with German and English. Most Dutch understand and speak English.

CONGRESS LANGUAGE

The official language of the congress will be English and there will be no translation into any other language.

TIME

The Netherlands lie in the Central European Time Zone. Central European Standard Time (CET) is 1 hour ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT+1).
